HOMEMADE SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE RECIPE

Notes

The recipe’s flavors are super delicious and remind me of milk toffee or butterscotch candy.

INGREDIENTS:

 
The sauce calls four just 4 ingredients (salt included).
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• 4 tablespoons salted butter, (60 grams)
• 6 tablespoon cream
• ½-¾ teaspoon salt, or to taste

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 
• In a heavy-bottomed pan melt ¾ cup granulated sugar on high heat until melted.
• Reduce heat and keep stirring until color changes to an amber-colored liquid.
• Immediately add 4 tablespoons of salted butter. Be careful as this can cause splutters.
• Keep stirring 6 tablespoon cream, ½-¾ teaspoon salt. As soon as the butter is completely melted add cream and salt.
• Turn off heat and keep stirring until the sauce stops bubbling.
